I've spent my career making change happen from organizing on the streets to City Hall, and from that I have learned that real change requires leaders who understand how power systems work and have the courage to challenge them from the inside while staying grounded in community.

Ashley Fehr is that kind of leader. Everything she does brings people together in ways that build power—she listens deeply, connects across differences, and turns those conversations into action. She knows that strong policy and strong communities are built by centering the voices most often excluded from decisions that shape their lives.

We need leaders committed to transforming power so more people can thrive. I'm proud to support Ashley Fehr for a One City council nomination.

We need workers' voices in City Hall.

I have had the pleasure of working with Ashley and witnessing her proactive approach to advocacy. When we talk about housing, she makes note of who doesn’t have a voice at the table and she seeks them out.

Health care workers, including care aides and technicians should be able to afford to live in the communities they serve. Ashley understands that good policy starts by listening to the people doing the work. As the President of BC’s largest health care union, I am proud to stand with Ashley, who understands our members' needs.

Health care workers in every city need a voice like Ashley’s at City Hall.

Ashley Fehr is the kind of community leader our city needs. She brings people together, creates welcoming spaces for neighbours to connect, and helps turn shared concerns into collective action. That kind of warm, thoughtful community building strengthens our neighbourhoods and makes our city better.

Ashley is a strong and relentless advocate. She does the hard work of organizing, building relationships, and pushing systems to respond to the needs of real people. In spaces where persistence and courage are required, Ashley shows up again and again.

Vancouver needs leaders who can bring people together while advocating for meaningful change, and Ashley has shown she can do both.

As a founding member and vocalist of Queer as Funk and as a realtor who loves this city, I know how essential arts and live music are to the heartbeat of our neighbourhoods. Our creative industry gives Vancouver its energy and contributes to a sense of belonging. But thriving arts scenes don't just happen, they are built through leadership, support and access to spaces where creativity can flourish.

Ashley understands that supporting the arts isn't about a bottom line, it's about culture, connection and community. She knows that means making sure local musicians and creatives have the spaces and support they need to share their work. Ashley recognizes the value of Vancouver's creative industry and the role it plays in shaping the vibrancy of our city.

Ashley's leadership has always been rooted in bringing people together and building spaces where everyone can participate. I believe that she will bring that same commitment to supporting local music, protecting venues, and strengthening Vancouver's art scene. Vancouver deserves leaders who understand that art isn't just entertainment; art is community, identity and the soul of the city. Ashley is that kind of leader and I'm excited to support her.

Through her leadership with The Mabel League, Canada’s largest queer and trans fastpitch association, Ashley has shown what values-based community leadership looks like in action. During her three years as the leagues Chair, she nearly doubled the league; intentionally creating space for more queer athletes to find belonging, connection, and joy in sport.

Ashley understands how important it is to create safer spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and able to show up fully as themselves. She has worked hard to build a league culture that stands up for those who are underrepresented and ensures that everyone has a place on the field and in the community.

What stands out most about Ashley is her commitment to building community with care and purpose. She leads with her values, brings people together, and creates environments where people look out for one another.

I’ve seen firsthand how Ashley’s leadership has expanded opportunity and strengthened community through our league. I believe she can bring that same commitment to safety, belonging, and inclusion to communities across our city. Ashley, has my full and heartfelt support in her run for City Council. Vancouver would be lucky to have her kindness, leadership, and dedication at the table.
